Images That Explore the Beauty of Rural and Urban Areas

Originally from the Panhandle area of West Texas, I have been drawn to the sea ever since my first assignment to the Boston area as an active duty member of the United States Air Force in 1994. Until now, most of my photography has focused on iconic images found along the seacoast, such as lighthouses and fishing villages. While I will continue to capture images along the seacoast like I have done in years past, I wanted to challenge myself to look for something unique. 

I began work on my Worn on the Waves Series in 2017. My goal was to create a body of work found in the minute details of row boats, fishing vessels and tugboats. While scouring coves, ports, docks and shipyards, my focus is on looking for unique compositions, colors, and textures on the worn hulls of ships to create my images.
